Epic Angels backs Oraan to take its gold committees abroad
The women only investment collective led an undisclosed round, with Wavemaker and i2i Ventures returning, as Oraan said it would license its platform to a regional bank.

Epic Angels, a global all female investment collective, announced on 27 July 2026 that it had invested in Oraan, the Karachi fintech that digitises women's savings committees. The size of the round was not disclosed. Existing investors Wavemaker and i2i Ventures also took part, Profit and Business Recorder reported. Epic Angels first backed Oraan in 2021.
Oraan said the money would go towards its gold savings product, including building gold inventory, and towards expansion into new markets. Oraan Gold, launched in November 2025 according to the company, lets members buy fractional gold through price locked monthly instalments. The company says the product grew about 75 times in its first seven months.
Oraan also said it had signed an agreement to license its savings and credit platform to a regional bank, which it did not name, in a market it did not identify. ProPakistani reported that cofounder and chief executive Halima Iqbal said the company's products fit the way women already save rather than asking them to change their habits.

“Access to credit for women in Pakistan isn't really a technology problem, it's a trust problem.”
The round was one of five Pakistani startup deals in the third quarter of 2026, a period in which the country's startups raised $74.7 million, according to i2i Ventures' quarterly report.
